How to read our scores
Every account gets the same three scores, from 0 to 100, from one published formula. Here's how to read them; the full method is on the About page.
Challenge score
How good the evaluation is: half is the average cost to get funded for each dollar of max loss — the price times the tries you'd need (times the months it takes, for monthly plans), plus any activation fee — and half is how easy it is to pass: chance to pass, consistency rule, daily loss limit and minimum trading days.
Funded score
How good the funded account is: payout rules (split, minimum days, minimum and maximum payout) and trading conditions (drawdown type, daily loss limit, consistency, buffer, scaling, any monthly fee).
Overall score (Best Accounts)
The plain average of the two. Most traders never reach the funded account, so the evaluation counts as much as the funded terms. Straight-to-funded accounts have no evaluation, so no Overall score: they're compared on the Funded score.
The figures next to the scores
- Total to get funded: price (for monthly plans, times the months we estimate it takes to pass) plus any activation fee, at the first try.
- Average cost to get funded: counting the tries a trader with no edge needs.
- Fastest first payout: the fewest days the rules allow from purchase to the first payout request, and what you've spent by then.
None of these are predictions of your results: they compare accounts on the same footing. A score can't tell you if a firm suits your style — the quiz and the filters can.
FAQ
Can a firm pay for a better score?
No. Every account is scored by the same formula from its published rules, and the formula is public.
