What to check before you copy trades
- Only your own accounts. Copying another trader, a signal service or a group is forbidden everywhere.
- How many accounts. Firms cap the accounts you can copy to at the same time, and some only allow copying between accounts of the same plan and size.
- Same direction. A copier set to reverse trades, or accounts left in opposite positions, counts as hedging and can cost all the accounts.
- Which software. Some firms accept only an approved list of copiers or the platform's own tool; some charge extra for third-party connections.
